Best Toploaders for One Piece TCG

Best Toploaders for One Piece TCG (2025 Guide)

The wrong toploader can get your submission rejected by PSA, or cause damage in transit. After testing several options with One Piece TCG cards, here's exactly what works.

Quick answer: Use a 35pt rigid toploader (Ultra Pro or BCW) with a perfect fit sleeve inside, sealed with a team bag. That's the standard PSA-accepted stack for One Piece cards.

What thickness do you need?

One Piece TCG cards are standard size: 63 × 88 mm, the same as Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon. The stock (unfoiled) cards are around 28–32pt thick, so a 35pt toploader is the right fit: snug enough to prevent movement, but easy to slide the card in and out.

Some Secret Rare and Special cards have a thick foil layer that can push them toward 45pt. If your SEC card feels noticeably thick, try a 55pt toploader instead. Forcing a thick card into a tight holder causes edge damage.

The recommended stack (in order)

PSA requires cards to be submitted in a rigid holder. Their preferred method, and the one with the fewest rejections, is:

  1. Perfect fit sleeve: slide the card in face-first. This protects the surface during handling.
  2. 35pt toploader: insert the sleeved card. The sleeve prevents the card from rattling inside.
  3. Team bag: seal the toploader in a resealable polypropylene bag. Keeps moisture and dust out.

Top picks

1. Ultra Pro 35pt Toploaders: Gold Standard

Ultra Pro 35pt Toploaders (25-count)PSA recommended
€12–15

The most widely accepted toploader for PSA submissions. Crystal clear, rigid, consistent thickness. The industry default for standard-size cards.

Best overall. Lowest rejection risk with PSA.

2. BCW 35pt Toploaders: Best Budget

BCW 35pt Rigid Toploaders (25-count)
€8–11

Slightly more flexible than Ultra Pro but still PSA-accepted. Good option if you're grading in bulk and want to cut costs.

Best budget pick. Save €4 per pack vs Ultra Pro.

3. Perfect fit / penny sleeves

Ultra Pro Platinum Perfect Fit Sleeves (100-count)
€8–10

Inner sleeve that slides directly over the card before it goes into the toploader. Prevents surface scratches and stops the card shifting inside the holder.

Essential. Don't skip this step.

4. Team bags

Resealable Card Saver Team Bags (100-count)
€6–9

Polypropylene bags that seal over the toploader. Required by PSA to keep the package secure. Use the resealable type: adhesive bags can leave residue.

Finish the stack properly. Keeps moisture out.

What to avoid

Don't use magnetic one-touch holders for PSA submissions. PSA requires toploaders or Card Saver semi-rigids: magnetic holders are returned. They're great for display, not grading.

Also avoid screw-down frames, snap cases, and soft sleeves alone. If PSA receives a card in anything other than a toploader or Card Saver, the submission is rejected without a refund.

For raw storage (not grading), magnetic one-touch holders are excellent. They're just not accepted for submission.

55pt vs 35pt: When to Size Up

If you're submitting a thick foil card (SEC or SP CARD) and it won't slide out easily from a 35pt holder, move to 55pt. Forcing the card out can nick the corner and instantly cost you a grade point.

Test at home: the card should slide out with a gentle tap, not require squeezing the holder. If you're unsure, go up a size.

Where to buy in Europe

Amazon.fr and Amazon.de both stock Ultra Pro and BCW reliably. Local game stores sometimes carry toploaders but often only in small packs at higher per-unit prices.

For bulk purchases (50+ toploaders), buying in 100-count packs from Amazon brings the per-unit cost down significantly. If you're submitting 10+ cards per year, it's worth stocking up.
